ELLIE & JAYA
STOCKPORT TOWN HALL.
Stockport Town Hall. One of the best Town Hall’s in Greater Manchester I would say, certainly in the top 3. As more and more of our architectural history is knocked down to make way for glass buildings, Stockport Town Hall remains standing and is home to many weddings throughout the year.
There are numerous options on which room to get married at the Town Hall. Ellie & Jaya chose the Robert Hyde room for their Micro photography package, just to cover them for an hour or so. Sometime’s it’s all you need!
A MICRO WEDDING IN A GRAND BUILDING.
Ellie has been a follower of mine on Instagram for a few year now and it was a pleasure to meet her at Stockport Town Hall for the first time. I photograph many weddings at Stockport Town Hall, probably because I live here and have been visiting the Town Hall since a child so I naturally know the area well.
As it was Halloween, the registrars were in the spirit and wore their devil horns. It was a very intimate ceremony but just how Ellie & Jaya liked it.
As soon as I arrive at any venue, I’m always looking for some interesting angles to shoot, never sticking a camera in people’s faces.
CONFETTI
TIME.
Ellie & Jaya were now married and was time for the best bit, CONFETTI!
The confetti shot never fails to bring joy to the newly weds and the guests. I don’t just expect everyone to know what to do so I help everyone line up very quickly and bring the newly weds out to face the chaos. Love it!
SOMETIME'S AN HOUR IS ALL YOU NEED.
Ellie & Jaya chose a Micro photography package for their wedding. Sometimes an hour really is all you need.
Once they were married and their ceremony was over, we headed round to the Ballroom entrance for a few couple shots. As Ellie was heavily pregnant at the time, we didn’t venture far but you don’t always need to.
Ellie & Jaya were great fun to photograph and I’m looking forward to shooting their party in 2026!
