GEORGE & KATRINA

STOCKPORT TOWN HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Stockport Town Hall really is a favourite of mine. As with many of our Northern Town Halls, they’re steeped in History and one of the few remaining buildings that are safe from the developers (for now). As Stockport is my Home Town, I love the way that a Town Hall Register Office is available for everyone to access. I photograph many weddings here throughout the year.

George & Katrina chose a bespoke package which is similar to a Micro package really, just a few hours.

THE MARBLE STAIRCASE AT
STOCKPORT
TOWN HALL.

George & Katrina chose to have their Ceremony at the Marble Staircase. Although quite an awkward space at times, it really is so unique. I’ve been visiting Stockport Town Hall since I was a child, I know the Town Hall very well and love to photograph all weddings here.

Katrina was given away by her father and made a grand entrance from the council chamber. You really get to have a nice long walk at this point and really take in the moment.

John was the Registrar today and soon pronounced George & Katrina Man & Wife after their little daughter handed them the rings.

There’s always enough time for photographs on the stairs for both groups and some couple shots before we head to those steps for the all important confetti.

PRIVATE DINING AT CIBO, WILMSLOW.

Next, it was all aboard the bus to Cibo in Wilmslow for some private dining. When guests are eating, I tend to have a short break. No one wants to be photographed eating. It’s a perfect restaurant for a small family gathering upstairs.

marquee EVENING PARTY AT HOME.

Next, it was off to the family home for a party in the marquee. Dale Alexander events had done a wonderful job of organising the house, entertainment and food.

Speeches were hilarious as I though they would be, George had a similar sense of humour so I new type of humour that was on it’s way. As usual, I mingled in to capture some natural shots. I don’t think anyone new I was even there.

thank you george & katrina
