As a regular St George’s Hall Wedding Photographer, I often find myself walking around the streets of Liverpool photographing wedding couple’s and their guests. Martin & Julie’s wedding was no exception and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting them on this special day.
The ceremony was actually taking place in the Concert Hall of St George’s. It’s quite rare to actually get into this part of he building so I was really looking forward to today.

Being asked to photograph any wedding is always an honour. Martin & Julie chose a full afternoon coverage for their photography. I’m happy to provide a few hours or a completely bespoke package to suit you.
I first met Martin & Julie at Malmaison in Liverpool a few weeks prior to the actual wedding day. It’s always a good idea to meet to run through the day, although not always possible. Julie had specific landmarks in mind for her photography. Liverpool was a special place for Julie while she was growing up.
With so much space to walk around but with so little time, I found myself staying pretty much in one space really but I did manage to creep around the perimeter of the hall on the squeakiest floor!
CONFETTI FOR THE NEWLY WEDS.
Next, it was time for the confetti moment. I quickly lined all the guests up outside and the newly weds were greeted with a lot of confetti, you can never have enough! I do love the confetti moment and the great thing about St George’s Hall, you’re really out of the way of the public hustle and bustle.
A WALK TO MALMAISON.
One of the best things about St George’s Hall for me are the areas around the Hall. Even though the building is situated right outside the busy Lime Street train station, it’s never busy. We could enjoy all that space without any interruptions all for free!
Liverpool and the historic buildings were a crucial part of the day and we took a stroll with her close friends and family to the Liver building and the Beatles statue. I could have spent all day photographing them around this area but we had to make our way to Malmaison for the reception.

Julie is a big Beatles fan and all the tables were named after individual songs. The room was perfectly dressed for their intimate celebration. I tend to keep my distance during a meal and have a short break. Speeches were lovely and always a pleasure to capture.
