OSIAN & ROSIE
DIDSBURY PARSONAGE
What a venue at Didsbury Parsonage, it's perfect for a smaller wedding and the grounds are perfect for photos. There are also 2 pubs next door!
I jumped at the chance of photographing Osian & Rosie's wedding day. Rosie was getting ready in a house Didsbury along with her family and close friends. I always enjoy bridal prep, there's so many interesting moments to capture and as I always say to everyone 'Just pretend I'm not here'. Everyone was really relaxed especially Rosie and was joined by all her close family and friends.
Once ready, it was taxis through Didsbury village to the Parsonage, an intimate venue next to Ye Olde Cock pub. Osian was ready with his best man at the front to watch Rosie walk down the the Isle with her dad. The Ceremony was very lighthearted with everyone giving a huge cheer at the first kiss, a great moment.
The Parsonage has some lovely gardens surrounding the house and it's perfect for that all important confetti shot with everyone spilling onto the lawn. Group shots were very quick so the guests could enjoy themselves in the courtyard for outdoor drinks. I really enjoy photographing people in these environments and never get in anyone's way, you hardly even know I'm there.
Rosie, Osian and myself then decided it was a good time to have a quick walk around the gardens for some couple shots. I'm not one of those photographers who bosses you around all day and forces you into uncomfortable poses, we just have a quick walk for about 10 minutes. I promise I will make you laugh!
all aboard
DESTINATION: CHORLTON
It was then time for the routemaster bus. What a great idea to keep everyone together and no one has to worry about parking. I was really looking forward to photographing people on the bus which took us through Didsbury to Chorlton.
Then..... the bus got a bit stuck in the residential streets which made it even more interesting. We all then hopped off while I'm running up the road so I don't miss that all important shot of everyone walking with the bus in the background. Luckily it was a very short walk to the restaurant called jasmine - A very relaxed vibe in the heart of Chorlton village with amazing Lebanese food and you can bring your own booze.
A brilliant wedding with a brilliant couple. See you soon Parsonage!
