JONNIE & MARIELLE

DIDSBURY HOUSE hotel, manchester

Didsbury House Wedding Photographer- I particularly love this venue in the heart of South Manchester and especially love photographing weddings here.

Being asked to photograph Jonnie & Marielle's wedding was undoubtedly an absolute pleasure.  Obviously, as soon as I arrived it was undoubtedly the most special wedding venue. Didsbury House Wedding Photographer - Whenever I visit I also noticed that the grounds are especially well maintained as you would expect from a venue of this calibre. When talking to the staff, it was straightaway obvious the level of care they put into each wedding.

Jonnie & Marielle were free to decorate the venue as they wished and certainly went to a huge effort. I especially love seeing couple's go to huge lengths to add the finishing touches to their ceremony, ready for their guest's arrival. As a Hotel, the venue is generally perfect already with wooden floors and plenty of natural light. Furthermore the owners have clearly chosen tasteful art and furniture for the interior.

Unlike other venue's which don't actually feel like a wedding venue, Didsbury House Hotel feels intimate and furthermore, exclusive. Equally, the lounges provide an overall, truly historic setting. The owners have undeniably put heart and soul into the refurb.

The House is indeed perfect for a small, intimate occasions and is altogether a wonderful venue in Manchester. Certainly as a photographer the venue something that catches my eye in a venue.

Undeniably Marielle indeed looked stunning with her bridesmaids as they enjoyed the walk from the sister hotel to Didsbury House. 11 Didsbury undoubtedly makes the perfect location for some bridal prep. Furthermore It’s obviously rare to photograph the bridal party making an entrance from so many angles on the walk before we even entered the house.

Meanwhile, the guests and Jonnie were eagerly waiting.

The ceremony was conducted by their friend and it was really lighthearted and indeed fun. Once the ceremony was over, we firstly headed outside for confetti and group shots. However, in true Manchester style the heavens opened! Instead of waiting, we soldiered on and got hose all important shots. Following some drying off we headed into the house and guests enjoyed some relaxing drinks and buffet.

Despite the constant rain, we headed outside for those all important couple portraits before the daylight left us. Jonnie & Marielle were certainly the right characters to get through the challenge of rain. Couple shots are certainly one of my favourite parts of any wedding and we had so much fun. However the light quickly faded and we had to venture inside.

Finally it was back in to the house for more celebrations. Besides the music and dancing, guests were treated to a band in one of the lounges. Certainly a brilliant ending to a especially enjoyable wedding.
