JOE & ORNELLA

PRIESTS HOUSE, SKIPTON

Being asked to photograph Joe & Ornella's wedding was an absolute pleasure. As soon as I arrived at the venue it was obvious it was a special place.

The Priests House is located within the impressive ruins of Barden Tower, a Grade 1 listed building with superb views of the valley and surrounding hills. On arrival, guests were able to enjoy the well manicured grounds and enjoy the views around the ruins and valley.

Ornella looked stunning with her bridesmaids and flower girls as they enjoyed the walk from the main house to the chapel. It's a rare occasion to enjoy as a photographer. Usually I just get to photograph the bride as she walks down the actual aisle but here you get a great outdoor photoshoot just for the bridal party.

Once at the chapel, the flower girls made there way down the aisle , scattering their petals ready for the bride. Ornella made the perfect entrance along with her mother while Joe and his best man watched from the front. It was the perfect setting for their ceremony and really light hearted for all to enjoy.

OUTSIDE

The grounds are so unique at this venue and made for a great confetti shot, it's always a moment I really enjoy as each wedding is so different. Luckily the rain steered clear for about 20 minutes, just enough time to quickly get some group shots and a few couple shots around the ruins.

reception

Joe & his best man spoke some lovely words during the reception and had a really informal vibe which worked really well in such a grand and historic setting. French wine was flowing, carefully picked as Ornella and her family are French

A brilliant wedding with some lovely people yet again. Can't wait to be back here soon
