JOEL & LEE
HUDDERSFIELD Town Hall Wedding Photographer.
As a regular Huddersfield Town Hall Wedding Photographer, I always meet many couple’s who are having any sized gathering. Joel & Lee’s wedding was on a sunny summer’s day and chose an extended full day’s Package to cover them. Furthermore they really wanted my relaxed style. Undoubtedly the most enjoyable part of any wedding day is making couple’s feel at ease.
Photographing Joel & Lee’s wedding was one of the most enjoyable weddings I have ever shot. As I always say, it doesn’t matter where your wedding is or how many guests you have. As with all weddings, I still provide you with memories to last forever.
Ceremony in the CONCERT HALL.
Being asked to photograph any wedding is always an honour. Joel & Lee chose Huddersfield Town Hall on a warm summer’s day with just close family. I first met nervous Joel for the first time outside inside the bar area of the concert hall, I liked Joel straight away. As a regular Huddersfield Town Hall Wedding Photographer, I have usually met the Registrars too.
It’s all very relaxed at Huddersfield Town Hall, it’s very much away from the general public so you really do get privacy. The ceremony itself was in the huge Concert Hall which is an incredible space to have a wedding ceremony. It was thoroughly enjoyable to have so much space to move around. Joel & Lee were soon pronounced Man & Wife to a huge cheer from the guests.
CONFETTI FOR THE NEWLY WEDS.
Following the ceremony, it was time for the confetti moment. I quickly lined all the guests up outside and the newly weds were greeted with a lot of confetti, you can never have enough!
Furthermore, I do love the confetti moment. Furthermore, you can easily spill out onto the street here, it’s not too busy.
Generally with many of our Northern Town Hall, they’re the few remaining pieces of history remaining that identify our historic towns. Furthermore I always try an have a stroll around the outside of the building for some couple shots.
a village haLL, LOADS OF PIZZA, A BAR & A BAND.
Next, it was off to the reception at the local village Hall- Marsden Mechanics Hall. This is one of those buildings that has managed to hold on to those original features. I just love these unpretentious buildings, full of character.
Following the guests arrival, the pizza’s arrived which was just perfect for Joel & Lee. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Furthermore, guests could just relax rather than the process of food being served, just help yourself.
Undoubtedly, speeches are always a favourite part of capturing the day for me. Generally, I’m creeping around a tightly packed room photographing speeches. However, at this village hall I could really move around without disturbing anyone, albeit creeping on the creaky floor.
an early evening stroll in marsden.
During our preparation phone call, we had previously arranged to walk to the Marsden area of the Town. There’s never as much time as anyone thinks during evening photographs. I tend to be very quick as you’ll want to get back to your guests.
Specifically, Joel & Lee were great fun to photograph and we just walked around the Church grounds with no one around. Furthermore, it was a really good chance for Joel & Lee to have a moment to themselves. Indeed, my couple shoots are always great fun- No cheesy posing.
