As a regular Elizabeth Gaskell House wedding photographer, it was a pleasure to meet Zakia & Nathan and photograph their wedding at this historic venue in South Manchester.
A civil ceremony at the venue only takes less than half an hour and without the expense of a country manor house. Furthermore, the Registrars are very helpful to all wedding guests. Being a regular Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Wedding Photographer I get to know the building and staff well which particularly helps put my couple’s at ease.
Zakia & Nathan were the perfect couple to photograph and made me feel so welcome at the home where the first part of bridal prep took place. Furthermore, their family and friends were an absolute pleasure to photograph too.
BRIDAL PREP AT HOME & THE VENUE.
The first part of bridal prep took place at Zaki & Nathans home where I met all the family. I was made to feel so welcome while I documented the preparations. Once the family were ready, we made our way to the venue itself where Zakia was able to use one of the upstairs rooms for those final touches to her traditional outfit. It was a pleasure to photograph Zakia in this historic interior with natural light.

Elizabeth Gaskell’s really is a truly unique venue for a wedding ceremony. Nathan was eagerly waiting with their son as the ring bearer as Zaki walked down the aisle. The Registrar from Manchester City Council pronounced the happy couple Man & Wife.
PARTY AND GAMES FOR ALL THE FAMILY.
Once we had enjoyed the wonderful confetti shot outside the house we had a short walk around the grounds for some couple shots. It was then back into the house for afternoon tea and party games. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities and was a joy to capture all the fun.
