BEN & NIAMH

STOCK FARM BARN, CHESHIRE

Being asked by Ben & Niamh to shoot their wedding at Stock Farm Barn was an absolute pleasure. I first met Ban & Niamh when they were planning their wedding many months before the big day. I always try to meet meet couples for a coffee, it's really important to get on with your photographer and I automatically hit it off with Ben & Niamh when I met them. As they booked a full day's package they received their complimentary engagement shoot, it's a really good way to get to know your photographer and chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. We met at Castlefield area of Manchester which was a really special place for them both. There's so many interesting areas for a great photoshoot.

Bridal prep at Prep at Stock Farm is ideal with two separate rooms for the bridal party and the groomsmen. Both rooms had a fully stocked bar for both parties to enjoy. The bridal party suite is actually like a salon, so much room for all the bridal party.

Ben and his groomsmen were ready really quickly and it was time to get to St. Mary's in Bowden for the Ceremony.

THE CEREMONY

ST. MARY'S, BOWDEN

The weather was perfect in September after a pretty wet summer. Ben and the boys were at the church in plenty of time to meet and greet all the guests before heading inside to wait for his bride. It was a good time to take some shots of all the bridesmaids and page boys waiting at the entrance with their mums.

STOCK FARM

What a venue Stock Farm is! Part of the Tatton Estate, Stock Farm has a huge barn ready to host a really good reception and an evening party for even more guests! The farm has outbuildings and so many interesting areas to photograph. There's also a lawn for games which certainly kept the children occupied during the drinks reception.

The weather was ideal for September which meant guests were able to enjoy the huge courtyard and a violinist who walked around playing some upbeat folk music.
Ben, Niamh and I thought it was a good idea to have a quick walk for some couple shots just before we went in for the wedding breakfast. I'd got to know Ben & Niamh well during their engagement shoot so they were well used to being in front of the camera. We just had a walk for 10 minutes, who wants to be away from the party... There's a huge choice of areas for photographs, we chose the field behind the barn and around the converted outbuildings, you really could spend all day taking some cool couple shots!

The Barn was enormous and beautifully decorated with low, cosy light. After a quick couple shoot the happy couple were able to make that big entrance and why not!
The speeches were great, lots of preparation before hand and really emotional.

It was then time to party- Entertainment was by Fat Cat Brass which the guests were not expecting. The photobooth was supplied by Warrens vintage VW Wedding and Events which was a campervan to and from the church.
